The Nevada Coyotes Football Club are proud to announce its home schedule for the 2019 United Premier Soccer League Spring Season. The season starts at home on March 2 against the Redding Royals and will conclude, also at home, on June 8 against the Chico City Rangers.
The Coyotes compete in the Wild West Division of the Western Conference in the Pro Premier tier. Pro Premier is the highest tier within the UPSL’s promotion and relegation pyramid.
Director of Operations Will Bumgardner is excited for the upcoming season. “I really like the teams that we have on our schedule,” Bumgardner said. “I am excited for the challenges that we will face with teams like Vacaville and JASA.”
This season, the Wild West Division opted to go with a single table with 12 teams in the division. However, teams will only be playing six other teams, with each one being played home and away.
“It will be interesting to see how this season plays out since we don’t play everyone,” Bumgardner said. “It is very possible that the top teams in the table at the end of the season have to go to tiebreakers because they didn’t play each other during the regular season.”
Newcomers Parajo Valley and Contra Costa United join the division this season. However, perennial contenders Cal Victory and Napa Sporting are not playing this season.
The playoffs are currently scheduled to begin on June 22, with the national championship scheduled to take place on July 27.
