Western Nevada FC Coyotes is proud to announce that Salifu Jatta has been named the National Player of the Week for the United Premier Soccer League.
During the Coyotes’ last match on March 17, Jatta scored three goals and had two assists, leading the club to a dominating 8-1 victory over Chico City Rangers FC. The win keeps the Coyotes on top of the Wild West Conference table with 6 points and a goal differential of +9.
“This is a tremendous honor for Jatta,” Coyotes head coach Ian Hill said. “He is a tremendous player with great technical ability and physical capacity. The sky’s the limit for him.
The award is Jatta’s first with the Coyotes and the club’s second overall. Jatta joins teammate Bryce Campbell as the two players who have won Player of the Week honors with the club. Campbell won his award after scoring two goals and an assist en route to the club’s 4-0 victory over East Bay FC in the opening round of the 2017 Fall Wild West Conference Cup last November
“This is our organization’s second UPSL National Player of the Week award in five months, which is a testament to the hard work of our players and coaching staff,” Hill said.
